About: Coach Kunkel, a former “full-ride” college player at Rocky Mountain, and currently the Athletic Director at Miami’s Our Lady of Lourdes Parish School, a state championship finalist in 2010. Coach Kunkel has also been the head coach for one of the state’s most successful middle school programs, leading them to undefeated championship seasons in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Coach Kunkel’s Goals for LJ5:
•To teach fundamental basketball in a team setting.
•To improve the individual skills of each player.
•To provide each team member with a positive, fun and educational travel ball experience.

About: For the past 8 years, Coach Grimaldo has been an assistant principal for the School Board of Broward County. He’s coached middle school boys basketball at Apollo School in Hollywood and McMillan Junior High School in Miami. For the past ten years, he has also coached boys and girls basketball at various city leagues ages Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Coach Grimaldo is married and has four children.
